True Rating: 3.5 Lynsay Sands delightfully breaks the typical romance mold with "To Marry a Scottish Laird." Things move swiftly for the two protagonists (Joan and Cam) which, I admit, kept me surprised the entire read. While the book was swift in development I felt Joan and Cam had a softer partnership, which made for another nice change. Having read Sand's previous Scottish-themed romances (and enjoying them) I will say the increasing murder attempts against Joan was a staple I would hope to be flushed out by now. All in all "To Marry a Scottish Laird" makes for a quick sizzle with a dash of unexpected spice!
