While a noble and delightful premise, 'Coin Heist' only scratches the surface on some potentially interesting characters. Beyond saving the school, each teen of the unlikely team had their own "inner struggle to overcome." Switching between 4 points of view, each character flowed surprisingly well with subtle differences in narration. Elisa Ludwig is clearly a talented writer to be able to pull this off, but because each teen's struggle was only give a page or two, the majority of their issues were left to be resolved, leaving this reader cast adrift after an otherwise good book.
